Anyone else got this yet, looked on the first couple of pages of threads and didn't see any about it. I have to say this game is brilliant, up there with the best I've played.

It came out at totally the wrong time for me, one week before Fallout 3? Was always going to lose out there. Plus I tend to like a bit more meat on my RPG bones, this just seems a bit RPG-lite with simplistic combat and lots of hand-holding.

I'm sure I'll get round to it eventually once it hits the bargain bins and they manage to iron out the masses of bugs that people are constantly logging on the Lionhead forums (some of them gamebreaking).

Got it on Saturday, i'm in oakfield so far, just trying to do the shadow guild mission. It's a bloody good game so far, very british in its humour.

Bought this the other day. To be honest it hasn't really grabbed me like I was expecting it to, all seems a bit simplistic really, not got the level of detail or interaction of something like oblivion. Hopefully it will grow on me, only given it an hour or so so far.

Completed it too quickly imo , you can play on but i'm not sure i'll bother , its worth checking some of the walkthroughs before you play too far as there is no going back on decisions unlike the last games

I loved the gargoyle side mission though smile

I think that was the point. If you completed it too quickly then you didn't understand the concept. It wasn't meant to be rushed through. Don't read the walkthroughs, the point is to go through making careful decisions. Then playing again, whilst making better ones.

I completed it by doing most but not all the side missions and owning most of bowerstone , bloodstone, all of Oakfield and every pub in the game

I didnt rush it or skip major parts only thing i really skipped were the pub games but it easier in a lot of ways than the lost chapters or original game its just bigger

Also did it without being knocked out or losing a life as well

Not saying its bad , it isnt but its just not what it couldve been

It will come out on the PC, eventually. For now, its 360 only.

I really enjoyed it, but they aimed far to much at the (very) casual gamer and the "Anyone can pick up and play" resulting in lots of variation, but little depth. The story also lacked any real crescendo, just plodded along to a predicatable end with no real surpises.

Lovely graphics, very amusing, and great voice work makes it a very enjoyable game to play. I think "Charming" sums it up perfectly.

As mentioned, just rushing through the main story and not exploring, questing and generally prodding and poking at everything is entirely missing the point. Still never managed to get the "Orgy" achievement...

Bit of a thread resurrection here, but bear with me. Started playing this after thoroughly exhausting Fallout, and I can't seem to do the above! I know its not game breaking, but just want to see how its done. I gave some bird a ring, and we appear to be engaged, moved her into a house and set an allowance etc. I get her to follow me to the bed, and I only have options to sleep. Looking at her stats, the top line out of three seems to be near the left side if that makes any sense, icon looks a bit like a face with a stripe through it. Wonder if she has got the hump with me or something.....
Any help appreciated.

if you get married and if shes "in the mood" then when you go to sleep it will give you options for sex instead of length of sleep.

If you manage to get yourself the come back to my place expression then you can cut out the marriage step.

OR you can go find a hooker (wraithmarsh/bloodstone) and pay for it.

OR find a hooker and get some easy chick into you and have a 3-way.

OR follow the storyline and marry alex from the bar in bowerstone market.

those last 3 will more than likely result in getting an std, especially the last one.

I've married Alex, she was the one who I was supposed to give the note too from the heartbroken ghost. As I've said, I've bought her a house, given her an allowance, and I'm getting like flash messages saying that she wants sex, but as I said I go into the bedroom and I'm not getting the option. I do seem to have housewives coming into the bedroom when I was trying to initiate and I may have accidentally flirted with one in front of my new wife. Do you think this is why? On her stats the top line has a heart on the right hand side, and the marker is way over the the left side, is this maybe whyI'm not getting any? Like I said, I got a message saying she wanted it, just really frustrating me now more than anything....

I believe that when they want sex, you go up to them and use the 'follow me' expression or (if you have it yet), the 'come back to my place expression'. She should then say ok, walk to the bed with her, click A and it should ask if you want protected or unprotected sex.

Thats the way it's been working for me anyway smile

I just got the game as well, didn't get it at launch as like others say, too many other big titles, but now I have those done, I thought I would have a crack smile

Will be back on Fallout once the DLC arrives, but this is filling the gap. It's a bit too 'cartooney' and I am not fond of the menu system (if you want to take more than one potion, you need to keep going in and out of the menus for each one), but other than that, I am enjoying it.

As it was mentioned earlier, I would also say that I have yet to see a single bug in it. Fallout on the other hand is riddled with them !!!

Just for those that arent aware there is a downloadable level on xbox live which opens a few extra missions (Knothole Island) and allows you to get your dog back if you lost him at the end of the main missions
