Yes and no!.
Plus points:
Great user interface.
Twin tuner, you can watch one thing whilst recording another.
TV through your PSP anywhere with a wireless internet connection.
If you've already got a seperate PVR, it comes in handy for those
odd occasions when there is 2 decent programs on at the same time,
and you need to record both.
You can still play games whilst recording something.
You can specify if a recording needs to start early and/or finish late.
Negative points:
£60 (you've already spent more than £300 with Sony)
It Should have been built into the PS3 in the first place.
You lose a USB port.
It will use a lot of Hard Disc space, unless you've upgraded!.
Its a little slow to change channel, which is annoying.

I've had mine since launch day and its been pretty good so far. there have been a few hiccups along the way, but nothing major really. also be aware that you can move saved programs to an external hard drive, so you aren't clogging up the built in hard drive. Its expensive for what it is, but I think the functionality that it offers is fantastic.

Can you set it to record to an external HD? 'cos I've got a 500gb jobby sitting next to it at the moment...
It's very good, well worth £60.
The remote play psp function is great, with impressive picture quality. Also you can set recordings whilst away on holiday.
You can set it to constantly buffer, so pause and rewind live tv.
Sometimes it doesn't update the guide properly, but that's the only bug I could find.
