ps 3 wont connect to the playstation network!!

for some reason my ps3 is refusing to connect to the playstation network (call of duty 4 online) it was fine yesterday but is coming up with an error message stating "you have been signed out of the playstation network" is anyone else having trouble connecting?

I've had this problem a couple of times.. it should log back in if you go back the sign in process.. mine did

i ve tried relogging in repeatedly but it still wont connect.

Reboot and restart router usually fixes it for me.

Does it need a system update? Won't log in until it's been done.

it wasnt connecting last week, then it was fine, now its doing it again, refuses to connect and shows a dns "cant connect to server" error message, its doing my frigging head in!!

This sounds more like a problem with your internet connection than your PS3.. I've had this a couple of times but it was always due to my internet being switched off or disabled for some reason..
