I'm having a mans meat and beer weekend this coming weekend with some mates I haven't seen for a while and the weather is forecast to be pap. So with this in mind, I fancy picking up a couple of good >4 player Wii games to keep us amused whilst getting pished and looking at grot on the computer.

Any recommendations?

All sounds a bit homo-erotic to me.

Smash Bros. WarioWare. Boom Blox?

Wii sports is good for a laugh, but you'll have that already.

Mario Kart?

Ahaa! Bugger.

That's three I want now, Boom Blox looks great fun, as does Smash Bros Brawl, not sure about Wariowotsit though.

Anything better than those three? I'll be stopping to purchase on me way home this evening hopefully.

Wario is great, you will need to play through the single player game first though before you can play it in multiplayer, but that's enough of a giggle.

Mario Kart is great, but you'll have to spend a fortune on extra wiimotes/pads to play it with 4 players...

Already got the 4 Wiimotes, but I don't fancy having to buy four steering wheels, are they definately needed?

You don't need the steering wheels no, you can play without and personally I would as they're a bit pap.

Raving Rabbids 2? The belching round is quite a laugh after a few ales. Draw the curtains though as it will look like 4 men having a wank in front of the telly when you 'shake' the bottle!

I thought it was one of the worst games I've ever played and took it back for a refund.

Meh, was very drunk when playing it. Haven't played it sober!

Smash Bro's surely? I bought my N64 purely for this game. I can't justify buying a wii purely for it, as the cost of console and controllers will be a bit silly, but if you've already got a wii it's a no brainer biggrin

I agree, play it with the wii-mote and nuncuck, way more fun than the wheel thing, its just unnatural and a bit unresponsive

Bought Boom Blox, Mario Kart & Smash Bros. Spent the evening playing Boom Blox until about 9pm, played Smash Bros for a bit but couldn't get on with it, at which point Mrs WC was bored, so we played Mario Kart together and had a hoot. Might let the kids have a go tonight, but I think the Mrs has a grudge match lined up.

What was Boom Blox like? It's in one of my rental queues but I'd be tempted to buy it if I can find it cheap enough.

Addictive & competitive. I was on it for ages last night, a classic case of 'I'll just do this level' every time, and when I couldn't knock stuff down in a oner, i'd replay it until I did. Arm ached this morning though!
