So, what do you all play with, and where?

I've got a G25, a custom shifter, and a bodged bucket seat chair. Some people on RSC seem to have mad setups, do any of you lot?

here's a couple of pics of mine.

Sorry if this is deemed too dorkywink

I'm really liking that shifter!

Is it a one off or can it be purchased somewhere?

Tis impressive. I don't think I'd be able to bring girls home, though...

Luckily, I am already married, so have retired my penis for life. Ha ha!

The shifter was made by a bloke in france, its a one off. I'm sure he could make you another, though. Good bit of kit, it feels like a gated shifter (as that's what is inside the box), a bit like a ferrari or something. Takes a while to get used to, but feels much more 'real' than the G25's shifter. It's similar to the Frex shifter, http://www.frex.com/gp/shifter/index.htm , although clearly more home-made lookingwink

You probably won't be allowed to do it when you are living with one either!

May as well get one made smile

Funnily enough there's a conversation about this over on the Focus forum at the moment..!

I recently bought a G25 but can't seem to get Test Drive Unlimited to 'see' reverse gear on the shifter. It sees it as 6th gear, even though the gearstick obviously goes down and back, rather than back into 6th. Is this normal or is mine not working right?

Mine developed that fault about 2 months before breaking completely.

So it's not just a quirk of the game then..? frown

I dont know - never tried.

Download the LFS demo and have a go with that. Or just use the logitech software to see what buttons are being pushed. Should be seperate buttons for R and 6.

Just done it again in the Logitech software and it's showing up as 6 not R. Looks like I'll have to speak to the person I bought it from.

Thanks Altrezia. frown

Here is mine, it hasn't been used for a while though due to a torn cartilage in my right knee. The wheel is a DFP with a Frex button box and paddle shifter upgrade, fitted to a racecraft wheel. The race frame is a BRD pro with bucket seat, along with a set of Speed7 pedals the screens are driven by a single 8800GT through a Matrox TH2G

This was supposed to be a proto-type. I really should throw some paint at it and get a proper monitor atleast..
The seat is one of those X-rockers with built in speakers/sub.

Just thought I would put up a few making of pictures. Enjoy.

And I only got a B for that, yet people say that A levels are getting easier rolleyes.

P.S. The shot with the angle grinder was only a mock shot for the camera, it needed to be properly secure to cut it, and some other nice cockpits there to, like the idea of that seat, I based mine around a kart chassis type layout, hence the seat and frame design.
