Can You Transfer Data Between an Xbox and a 360?

Got myself a 360 Arcade with the hard drive. Absolutely hooked on it, but I still have my original Xbox with plenty of save data on it. So is there any way of transferring the data onto the 360 so that I only have to use one console?

Sadly not no, not without some heavy warranty-invalidating butchery of your 360 with some mod chips and stuff.
