PS3 System Update V2.40

Just read this on the Information board. Something I have been waiting for really, V2.40 will bring the ability to navigate to your XMB without quitting your game, handy IMO such as being able to read any new messages without having to quit a game, read it, reply, then reboot the disc. This is just one of the new features.

Been waiting for this for what seems ages. For me the lack of in game messaging is the only real feature the puss 3 has been lacking compared to X-box live. I have heard rumor it will go as far as in game video messaging but I'm skeptical of that.

Think the update includes trophies too but not really bothered by that myself.

I agree.. the PS3 is steadily building up to be better. I'd glad i stuck with them
