XBox live. Worth it?

Hello chaps.

I have had my 360 for a while now and I am wondering if it is worth signing upto Live? Its £34 a year for that plus I would need to buy the Wireless network adapter which is another £50. Is it going to make my gaming experience that much better?
It would be Forza 2 and GTA4 that I would be using this for.

Yes! Although I am finding it harder to get a game in Forza and GTA4 doesnt really do it for me but IMO its a small price to pay to extend the playability of the above great titles. What about PGR4 and COD4?

Never really been a fan of PGR titles. I have played COD4 but I am not great at games like that. I have Halo 3 but again I would just ger murdered every 5 secs.

you'll soon move onto other games in due course.

For me Xbox live adds so muh more to the whole experience, adds a new dimension to gaming when you can hook up and do missions / races with mates in other countries and shoot the breeze, also opens up a hell of a lot more gameplay in some games.

I spend more time online on live now than i spend playing single player games on the xbox - and PGR4 is a great game on live!

GTA is great fun as well.

worth it to play the PH lot at the latest game , think GTA4 is the current one taking up our time

I love XBL, although the only game i'm any good at online if FIFA 08.

Brilliant for Forza 2 and for GTAIV. I play (embarrassed) prolly 15 hours of GTA a week at the mo', and yet I've not got onto the 3rd island in single player. Multiplayer is tremendous. Look through the GTA Chatter thread and the Forza 2 championship thread, and get people's gamertags. I can't remember the last time I switched my 360 on and there wasn't someone from on here playing.

The key is to find alright people to play with. GTA is terrible with randoms, Forza 2 usually ok. As long as you stick with the PH lot, you are pretty much certain of a decent game. At £5 a month, it's a no brainer. I'd pay that just to shoot MK4 in the face. I am hoping to petrolbomb polartbert tonight, then we'll see who is being childish!
