Most fun 2 player PS3 games?

Other than GTA4/COD4, dont really plan on buying many other games this year and havent done much reading on what else is out either, but including/excluding driving games, what are the 'most fun' 2 player games on offer?

And are there any 2/3/4 player games, in which you and your mates can all go online at the same time, to race/whatever using the same PS3/telly.
