Xbox live-Help!
Discussion
Hi there,
recently i have been trying to connect to xbox live. I have a laptop with vista with a vodafone mobile 3G dongle. I have searched google
and the voadafone help center says i need a Ethernet cable to connect to the laptop. I have a yellow Ethernet cable running from the 360 to the laptop, but when i test the connection it says the cable is wired but no ip address can be found if i enter it manually it still won't work. Does anyone no what the problem is if so could they please help.

Quite often, you can have trouble 'seeing' other things on a network when you are running a firewall program, so if you are 'safe' (i.e. not connected 'directly' to the internet) - try disabling the Microsoft firewall and any other software firewalls you have running.

I've never used one of these 3G cards, but I suspect you need to turn on internet connection sharing for the Vodafone connection.
