Buying Games in the US

I am currently on holiday in Florida and was wondering if we buy games for our PSP, PS2, DS Lite and Wii will they work back in the UK?

PSP yes, no region lock on games. PS2 no, the games are region locked.

The rest no eyed deer.

DS Lite games will also work, but Wii id dont know.

Nintendo have always had pal versions and then different versions for usa games.

I remember my old man buying me street fighter from usa for the snes.. it was the wrong shape to go in so he suggested we hacksaw it to fit

I never understood why they did that... but you could get a convertor so the US cart sat outside the PAL/ NTSCJ console....

Aye, we didnt know that. So took the junior hacksaw to it.

Needless to say it failed

I think they were region specific game boards too - had different 'coding' on them , had a PAL Super Nintendo and a NTSCJ Super Famicom at the same time and remember my the games fitted but wouldn't work ( well had to try , but then tv format was wrong regardless )
