SNES version for me, mainly due to the mates I played it with and th memories. I suspect it'd be a pile of wank if I tried it now though. I still play MK64 on the Wii, and it's fun but does become tedious after a while.
Yep SNES version for me aswell - even tried to set my old one up the other day after an arguament in the pub about which was the best level - ghost castle 4 was my suggestion - the one with the jump. Shame I couldn't get the thing to work as would have loved to have had another go.Can't wait for the new one - only 8 days till released

N64 game had ridiculous rubber band AI that always seemed to take you down on the last corner and snatch victory from you.
Yeah but, Mario Kart is the kind of game you play with 3 mates, not the AI. I don't think I've EVER played single player on it, its just not that kind of game at all! After coming back from a club or something off your face, get your mates on Mario Kart - classic way to end the night..
...We were on it until 2am this morning

Flawed, do you need to be pointed in the direction of http://www.snes9x.com/ ?
I think I do! Though I have no idea how to work it
I have downloaded the zip file and extracted all the files - clicked on the snes controller logo and the a black game play box comes up but I can't do anything with it - I have clicked on load game only for a box asking me to load ROM comes up and then I can't seem to do anything - I am basically owning up to not having a clue what I am doing
further help appreciated.I'm a big fan of the SNES version too. Still play it occasionally along with NBA Jam. Still holds up well after all these years.
Talking about games with great multiplayer gameplay, i used to play a tiger woods golf game with mates on the N64.
Can't remember the name of it but such a laugh with 4 players. You could laugh and heckle at the others as they were taking their shots and you could use power-ups too, such as rockets etc...
Very average as a single player, but great fun 4 up.

Sorry but the best multi player game on the N64 was Goldeneye - nothing else came close. I spent nearly 3 years playing that game at uni Can't remember the name of it but such a laugh with 4 players. Nope, best MP game on the N64 (and in my personal opinion, ever!) was Perfect Dark. It took all the best parts of GoldenEye and added massive amounts of things you could change, bots, loads more weapons, better graphics (they still hold up today!) and loads of other stuff.
I recently re-bought an N64 and GoldenEye was great, but for MP (and SP) Perfect Dark was in a different league!

t I completely forgot about PD - Admittedly that was good to - the multi-use weapons were really cool! I never did manage to finish that game - could never figure out how to kill the last boss - may need to be revisited!Flawed said:

I finished it on Agent and Special Agent, but never finished it on Perfect Agent!

It's amazing how s
t PD Zero was on XBox in comparison, I thought it was an utter, utter disappointment!

Mario Kart on the DS rules. I regularly goto the London DS meets and play 8 player games. I agree that Perfect Dark on the N64 is an awesome game. However on revisiting it recently i forgot how jerky it ran. Lucky the game is so awesome ya dont notice it much :P
Yeah, it was deifinitely at the limit of what the N64 could do graphically, but it was a lot better looking than I thought it would be (as in, you're always looking back with rose-tinted glasses!
). But GoldenEye really was a case of rose-tinted glasses, it was clunky, crap graphics and nothing like as good as PD. The SP was still fantastic, but the MP was pretty crappy
