I've just bought a 360. Also got copies of Forza2 and PGR4.

I'm looking at getting a wheel/pedal setup. Amazon give three main choices:

Microsoft Wireless Wheel
Logitec Drive EX
Ag-e Universal.

Which would you guys recommend? Also, the way my system/ telly is set up means that there's no hard top or table to secure the wheel to. Do any of the above have lap top attachment devices - I remember once having a wheel with under thigh spurs which you sat on - or, Amazon sell a 'Supido Hyperdrive Racing Seat' for £20 which looks like a TV meal table which you attach the wheel to with a bit which you sit on that stabilises the whole thing. Anyone use that type of thing?

Thanks.

I have the XBox 360 wireless wheel and it is great. Games are so much more difficult at first as you need to give it full lock rather than flick your thumb.

To get force feedback you'll need to plug it into the charger.

Microsoft, it's the only one that works properly with Forza.

Microsoft one for me too. But you will struggle with it on your knees. I tried it and it not much fun.

Get the Microsoft one - the Logitech one sadly does not offer the proper force feedback (MS's fault - I've got a similar Logitech wheel for the PS2 and PC that does have FF) - the Logitech one has 'axial vibration' (i.e. it rumbles) but I don't think it gives the actual feedback you'll crave for.

I use it with Forza 2 - and am totally addicted. It also has quite good 'paddles' for gear changes - some (like the Logitech one I mentioned a moment ago) have a couple of buttons, okay but not as usable.

£60 from Amazon - bargain - £90 in Game...

Just for a fuller post (sorry I'm a dull anorak) - some of the features of the MS wheel (not comparing it with the other wheels, just what it has)

- Good quick release clamping system - use it with a coffee table you can just get your knees under
- Wireless (to the Xbox 360) - not truly though if you're using Force Feedback - needs to be plugged into a nearby mains socket
- Doesn't have the second stick - a little annoying since I can't look round like I could with the pad.
- Some of the D Pad contacts needed to bed in for a few uses (fine now)
- Pedals good solid feel, have a loop that your heel sits in, so it will only walk so far along the carpet.

As yet though, I haven't found the cruise control, air con controls etc...

Thanks guys. Microsoft it is then. May have to completely redesign my living room though. But, of course, gameplay comes way before living arrangements! biggrin
