XBox 360 Connecting 2nd user to LIVE - help please

Apologies if this has been asked before - couldn't find it in the threads.

We recently got the XBox and bought the Gold membership. Son wants to have friend over to play live game at the same time as him. Do we need another live subscription? He has seen nametags with (+1) on and he thought that meant 2 people playing on one account.

Any help appreciated.

Each player who wants to play Live - or "Online" needs a gold subscription.

No idea what the +1 means though.

Some games allow two players using a single live login. Perfect Dark Zero is one IIRC.

You can definitely do this on PGR4 and HALO 3 don't know of any other game's, select multiplayer split screen up to 4 players on halo. Then go on-line all players have to be in the same lobby i.e they cannot go and find thier own game's hope this help's.
