Does anybody play this?

I've had this game for quite awhile and it's one of those games that I keep coming back to when I get bored of my latest game.

COD4 is fun, very fun infact but I had completed the solo mode quite quickly so I started playing multiplayer and I can honestly say that I am absolutely crap at it..it is nothing like the solo game!!

I was beggining to get the hang of it and then I was away for 2 weeks and I came to play it a couple of nights a go and all of you guys were too good so I have once again reverted back to fight night.

So, is anyone up for a barny at some point?

I got this game, it's quite good but the control system makes my thumb a bit tender after an hour or so.

I played it loads on the PSP and was contemplating the PS3 version. What console do you play on ? Is it worthy of my 40 sheets ? biggrin I found the PSP version you would beat everyone and have 3 title belts etc and then there was no kind of finale or anything ? Got boring then.

You are right the online version is worlds apart wink

I love the game, played it on the hardest level and only lost a few fights in 40+ battles (got too old to keep winning so had to retire) although i did turn the console off before it saved and fought those guys again to have an unbeaten record biggrin
I don't use the sticks to punch though, bar a couple of specials.I find it far more natural on the buttons.

One thing that we couldn't work out however is how it positions you on screen when playing online.
In single player i play on the right of the screen, so if i end up on the left online, all the controls
are reversed and i play like a noobin! Now, when i played one of my mates online, both of us were on the right at one
point and in the next match i was on the left! Then he was on the left and i was on the left too iirc.

Does anyone know how that system works as i would play online a whole lot more if i could always be on the right as i look
at my screen.Fighting on the left is totaly alien to me frown

Side doesnt usually make a difference for me as the analogue button mapping is thought of as top-down, e.g. up on the analogue means ahead, left means left, etc. I played a few times online and got battered silly, mostly resulting in RD1 KO.

Its definately worth playing online but don't get disheartened if you get your ass handed to you at first.

I've always been good at the fight night series because I seem to put alot of hours in so I was pretty impressed that I lost my first fight by a 12 round split decision. So I jumped straight back in to fight again and got knocked out in the first round after being hit by about 20 punches.

Ever since that moment I always go into the filter and turn custom boxers off and I have never suffered a defeat that badly since. The reason is because its possible to fight as a legend and get his stats higher than what the game gives him so they are effectively punching above their weight.

Anyway, anybody up for a non ranked match give me a shout! smile
