How do you install 360 patches?

A patch has been released (v1.5) for call of duty 4 which sorts out a few of the reoccuring problems, you also need this patch for when the new maps are released in march. How do i go about installing it as nothing has popped up saying installing update?

If you have downloaded it then it automatically updates into the game, same as any DLC content.

It's automatic, during game boot up it asks Live if there is an update, if yes you are prompted "there is an update available.. blah blah". So, if you don't see the prompt, there is no update available (or alternatively your xblive connection is broke).

New maps are good, but is there any news on sorting the things like the Party Leader taking the party in/out of lobbies with him?

They are not out yet and will be available from the marketplace when they are.

There is supposed to be a good variety of new map. Some of which will be ALOT bigger than the original maps which should be good.

Some rumors I have heard is that there will be a snow version. An alcatraz style prison map. The village on a hill where you have to get to the top and then the bottom will be on and then another map that is 2sq miles big and take 3 minutes to run from one side to the other.

All rumors though no doubt alot of people will be dissapointed.

Of all of these, it would be more realistic to assume that the hill map would make it as the environment has already been built in the game. It would be relatively "easier" than building new maps from scratch surely...?

But different climates (and snow suits etc etc) would be insane. Oh oh! A water based one with camo suits covered in reeds!

It'd be nice to have a map with vehicles and you had to attack/defend a fort of some description. Lots of mounted .50 cal MG's, lots of mess.

A defend/capture a heavily fortified base would be amazing, like search and destroy. No respawning etc. AMAZING

If the maps is anything like the halo3 "fortress" like map (the one with the beach at the far end) then the defenders manning the turrets would be taking out by Gorvid's 50cal in the first 30 seconds.

Bear in mind too that there has been the message of the day doodaa showing up the opportunity to make your own map and have it included in a future update too...

Patch has been out for the pc for a while, no new levels included there. Lots of the "fixes" sounded completely irrelevant to me.


I'd like the patch to include the option of stealing the bomb off my team mates in sabotage, so many people seem to think sabotage is just another name for TDM

This annoys the hell out of me, last night i was playing with a load of americans, they were going mental with the insults because i planted the bomb twice FFS

I've had that happen a few times, i think people are trying to challenge whore, by having the opposite team keep trying to get the bomb from a well defended area and get repeatedly killed giving the bomb carrying team loads of points.
