My 360 is broken. It made a nasty crunching sound and now claims all my game discs are unreadable. I'm sending it back to gamestation and getting a refund as this error isn't covered by MS' 3 year jobbie.

Now heres the problem. I bought a play and charge kit from HMV, opened the packaging (which destroys the packaging) and a VGA HD cable from John Lewis (also opened). What I want to know is if i'm able to return the cables considering I've destroyed the packaging. Should I just claim the cables are faulty? Are they likely to check them on the spot?

Any help is much appreciated.

Just keep repeating the phrase "Not fit for purpose" and, providing you've got a reciept showing that they came from one of their stores, they'll take them back and give you a refund to your card/cash (depending on your original payment method).
