Xbox 360 I/O and HD screen
Discussion
The best screen for that price is definitely the 26" Samsung. Samsung make the screens for sony, and are now considered by most to me amongst the best of the rest out there now days.

Microsoft themselves chose that TV to demo the system (as things go, they probably paid cosultants £1m to tell them that) and its also publicised with the 360 itself in promo campaigns. Its street price is £750, but you'll be able to get it off the net for close to £600.
If I was looking to spend less than £1000, that would be my TV of choice Ive seen the screen running an HD feed, right next to cheaper and more expensive models (phillips, toshiba etc) and imho it looked the best. Get it, you wont look back
It also has all the inputs. I dont think the hdmi adapter is available yet, so either composite or VGA will do to give you HD. Thinking of buying soon? If you want to buy from the highstreet, most dixos/currys stores dont price match the net, but they do price match the cheapest retailers on the street.

Just looked at the Samsung spec sheet and it HAS a component input, so it is compatible with the 360's component output for HD. Composite can't carry a HD signal AFAIK?

Can I use a PC DVI output in the HDMI input on this screen?
Just bought that one myself, and it has a PC analog (XVGA), a PC digital (DVI) and a HDMI for the high bandwidth inputs. There's also a composite input and a couple of SCART inputs for the low bandwidth stuff and it has some audio outs too.
So, you can use a DVI output to the DVI input if you wanted!
Edit - if you don't care about 'freeview' don't get the one with the 'D' at the end - that'll save you £50.
Edit 2 - Here's one for 635: www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/99556/art/samsung/le26r51-hd-ready-16-9-26.html I've used these guys for stuff before, and they've been fine for me.
Also, anybody know what the difference is between the 41B and the 51?

What cables does the Xbox use for HD out put?
Also any recomendations for a HD screen for around £600.
The full system comes with the HD Output cable, the Core system comes with a standard output cable. If you have a core system, you need to purchase the HD cable, £18 (ish).

Only the case design differs between the 41 and 51. The bottom of the black screen surround is straight on the 41 and follows the V of the bottom edge on the 51. The panel and software specs are the same as far as I'm aware. I've got the 32-41BD
