Killzone PS2 - Utterly Great

Quick recommendation post for anyone who fancies a new first person shooter for the PS2 - Killzone is utterly fantastic.

Picked a couple of new PS2 games over the weekend, Final Fantasy X-2 and as that one was in the 2 for £20 offer, I had to find another one...

Grabbed Killzone as a random shooter that looked interesting..

The graphics are great, the controls are excellent, the cutscene animation is top-notch and the overall gameplay drops in at "addictive".

Cant recommend this one highly enough - especially considering its a year or so old now so its El Cheapo.

I havent even dropped X-2 in the machine yet, far too hooked on Killzone

Yeah, it got some bad press on launch 'cos it was hyped up as Sony's answer to Halo, but if you tae it on it's own merit it's a great game. Especially for a tenner.

Yeah, this is a good game. Its just a shame they mount up the difficulty my making the badies take more bullets, rather than them being harder to hit. Otherwise a great game though. You have to love the ISA Assault Rifle.

Its not as good as Halo sure, but its a damn good FPS if taken on its own merits. IMHO of course.

BTW who does the voice for the Spy? I'm sure I've heard that voice somewhere before, just cant place him.
