Anyone know of any reliable downgrade programmes, as I quite fancy fiddling with some of the homebrew stuff that is available, but don't fancy bricking my PSP in the process?

Have a search through this forum. I've seen plenty of threads about downgraders...

Found something, thanks.

For anyone else, go to www.psp-hacks.com for good details. Scary, but doable.

Be careful in the future when you buy a new game. The PSP will tell you that you need to update the software before it'll let you play... it will pretend that it will upgrade it to 2.0. So most people will think 'Great, I'll play my new game for a week or 2 and then downgrade again later" but sadly it seems to put 2.0a on your machine without telling you and the downgrade hack no longer works.

Currently running a SNES emulator on 2.0. Got to love Chaos Engine and Street Fighter on the PSP...
