Some poor f**ker's just paid £450 thinking he's going to get an X box. He's actually getting a picture of an X box.

Read the last line of the description:

ya'll be careful out there..

Not sure, the other thread was one that said several times it was an empty box you were buying. I susepct in this case the seller will lose out, because in the description it says "The bundle includes".... and goes on to list all the stuff you are getting. Then at the end he says it's just a picture.

The home-made box scam was one thing (you'd have to be daft to fall for it), but this one is a disgrace.

The poor buyer could try to get out of the sale - the product description at the head of the page clearly states it's an x-box, not a picture; surely this is a breach of eBay's rules? Saying that, eBay have never taken any complaints I've made seriously, they much prefer to wash their hands of any complaints.

Have you noticed, this 'jonathan tw@' has kept his feedback private? What the hell is the point of a public marketplace, largely policed by common sense/feedback (cos, like I've said, eBay don't seem to give a sh*t) allowing private feedback?

[edit for spelling]

does anyone know an email address for fleabay fraud department - maybe a few emails to them would get this fool kicked off. he also was selling a 1500 Sony TV (well, a photo of one) - but I think he pulled it after the bidders were emailed.

I'm no ebay expert but I'm pretty sure if you bid on an item you can get a name/address/phone number....

Has anyone thought to email the winning bidder?

He/she may not have paid for it yet...

There's a 'contact member' icon when you click on a user's profile - we could all bombard him with messages chastising him over his 'immoral and mercenary attitude' (or words to that effect ). Trouble is, you give away your user id (but can choose to jide your e-mail address)...

the gay thing is that its so common, i've seen like 20 other auctions of this kind for the x-box 360 alone. its really quite enraging.

I did and they'd already sussed it, hence the seller's status.
