Guys, do you know if X-Box live is the same on the old version and the new 360? Can I play Halo 2 with my old X-Box against guys with new 360's?

I ask this because there are now 2 versions of live for the 360, silver and gold.

If I can't then I guess M$ has found a way to get people to upgrade......

You have to "modify" your account. Once it's setup for the 360 you can't use it on an old xbox but you can play old xbobx games like Halo on the new service.

Also silver is basically nothing! Gold is equivalent of the old xbox live membership and you should be able to transfer over however many months you have remaining.

I guessed that but can I play against people with a 360 on my old x-box?

I thought I read someone saying halo on the 360 played too slow (or something?)

To which I add, Ive never played halo Should I get it? (Some say it doesnt play properly on the 360, but its also an eipc game which everyone must play, they say)

Judging by the screaming down the headset from the yanks it plays very well on Live.

Halo2 i think is a great game on live, very quick, very addictive.

I dont play online that often but when i do play it im online for bloomin hours cos i find it that addictive.

You could get a 2nd hand copy of it for a few quid now i guess, well worth it, cant wait ill halo3.
