How much do you reckon you could sell one for, on Ebay, come launch date? I wont be selling mine just curious how much you reckon people will pay to get one when stocks dry up.

An example of capitalism at it's very worst... Still, a good little earner if you have one you don't want.

I reckon it will go one of two ways - they'll go for crazy money, or there will be about 5000 of them on ebay and none of them will sell. More likely the former but I'd enjoy it if it was the latter.

I hope you're right (well you will be, one way or the other )

I just hope the games supply doesnt dry up, everyone will want a copy of PDZ, it seems. It got a review score on gamespot of 9 today, the highest yet

Looking around £400 - £500 mark i would say.

Aparently there were reports of armed roberies in the states for xbox 360's.

I will be working that night and will see if i can get one from the places that dont pre-order the consoles..

Some dont work from the box. Overheating within 10 mins, Hard disk not recognised. Display adaptors not working, CD trays not working, Not regognising DVD's. Powerpacks stop working due to overheat.

So far...

Not sure of the percentage of units that are faulty but there are alot of people complaining that they dont work from the box.

Where did you hear of this? I've got a lot of friends from the Xbox certification labs where I used to work and they've tested the production retail boxes thouroughly without a single hitch. I'd just be interested to know the source.

From the Xbox forums on the US site.

There are quite alot of Errors being reported by the system itself which seem to be along the lines of Overheating and underpowering.

The xbox wont recognise the external HDD on some systems.

Aparently there is a massive power drain from the brick and wont fully power the system if there are other items with a high load running on the circuit.

Sounds like a Microsoft system to me

Edited to add: I hope the UK machines are OK. Mine in particular

Most likely I guess.....probably some idiot with his 40" HDTV, 10000watt amp, and surround system with his computer running another 28"TFT and 600watt PSU on the same socket.

As I said, a lot of friends that I know tested the unit and although it runs warm, it's not exactly hot and they never had those problems. In fact, there were very few hardware glitches to deal with!

What games have you got, how many controllers, what output leads have you got and finally....would you sell without the speakers?

One other thing as well i guess is that they may well have unpacked them and plugged it straight in. i Guess if there is a big temp difference and the xbox was at external temps when started it would cause probs.

Also some of those peeps have been running them for 8 - 10 hrs straight from the word go.

off hand can't remember them all, fifa 05 & 06, colin mcrae 04, TOCA 04 & 05, halo, R63, hitman, midtown madness, desert storm2, tiger woods 04, toruk (1, 2 or 3 I forget).

tbh I have no use for the surround speaker so would be looking to sell lock stock - scart lead and leads for spkr incl. + 1 crystal controller brand new. £150 the whole lot I reckon is reasonable. must be £200 of games.

Hmmm.....would have said yes....but i'm not so keen on your games bundle.

Thanks for letting me know anyways.....
