Does anyone know if the UK games for the new 360 will work on a US 360?
Just found out that a friend of the Mrs will be getting me one from the US as they are already out over there as of tomorrow. Yipee :bonce:

I think they're all compatible. As hdtv is an international standard, they should be universal consoles. Apart from the power supply! Also, Import taxes?

I doubt it to be honest. Games consoles, with the exception of handhelds, are always region specific. And I can't see Microsoft changing their ways now.

I agree, I reckon it will play US games & DVDS only.

Nope....won't work.

The US video output is NTSC which is completely different to our system (unless of course your TV can handle the signal).

That aside, you have regional protection on the DVD's and I've also heard Xbox Live on each system is setup according to each country so you won't have access to a lot of the features on there unless you have a US credit card and address.:

Just wait a few days and get it in the UK!!!! (2nd December...surely you can wait a couple of weeks....????)

Also, wait 6 months and you'll get one for half the price
