Metroid, Punchout and Dragon Warrior. Happy days

I started at the beginning of the snes/mega drive era

Gotta be Sonic on the mega drive
Duck hunt on the snes

Lemme see:

NES:

Ikari Warriors (Endless top-down scrolling shoot em up. Played that forever...)

Super Mario 3 (Utterly utterly addictively brilliant. The gameplay is fantastic, although a little frustrating in places.)

That was a great game! And the only game as I recall, with no save feature. We'd play for hours and hours, scrolling up several thousand TV screens at an inch a minute, only for the game to crash. Go the cartridge exchanged at Toys R US, and the new one did the same thing (always near the end of the game)

Mario: The Lost Levels

Deemed too difficult for the European and American markets.

Got to the last level in 7 hours, took 3 months to complete it.

Who says a university education isnt worthwhile...

for the sega my fave was alex kidd in miracle world. hang on was ok as well
