Need for Speed: Most wanted (PS2) out 25th November!
Discussion
This one has slipped under the radar for me, I have just noticed that the new Need for Speed game is coming out.
Its got a load of new cars, including an Elise, Gallardo, MB CLK 500, M3 GTR, 911 Turbo S, DB9, Supra, Evo 8, Mustang GT, Mclaren SLR, Carrera GT, RX-8, all funnly customisable ;), a total of 38 (I think) cars. Theres also cop cars that chase you, so its back to the original style of NFS hot pursuit but keeping some of the modding features.

At the risk of destroying what little credibility I have, I really enjoyed the latest NFS: Underground games. Then again, the 'Fast and Furious' films are something of a guilty pleasure for me.
NFS:MW looks good, combining the tuning from the Underground games, the free-roaming city from NFS:U2 and the police chases from NFS:HP2

HP2 was the best. Arcadey handling yes, but the game options were HUGE.
Honestly, at the time I was a student on Summer hols, and both my brother and myself couldn't finish ALL the game mode levels and become Top Cop and all that in several months of non-stop play.
Then there was amazing multiplayer on the internet AND local area network, and a huge community of modded cars.
The tracks were great too!
Porsche was better in many ways, except all the cars looked dull. Fun to play through again though.
NFS HP2 was in comparison crap. It had amazing artwork, sounds, and potential, but NO replay cams on the tracks, about 3 modes to race in, and handling even more arcade than the earlier ones.
That was a travesty of the name and series of games.
Thankfully, "chavs" came onto the scene and the NFS offerings at least got feature laden again, however now they were not worth playing
Lets just hope this new game is about driving (albeit arcade style), and not about doing jumps or 360's with stupid camera's and bonuses for doing stunts and stuff.
Infact, NFS4, just with more cars, up to date graphics and online play, and modern cars, would be all I could ask for, and decent physics.
I fear this new game is just going to look awesome, but just not have the content behind it to make it worth actually playing.
