It is a 3.5 litre V6 chevvy.

Which means it's got lots of toys, is still very very cheap and doesn't handle while drinking more fuel.....

Am tempted...

Just not sure I could be arsed to play my way through a massive game like GTA on a tiny PSP.

I still haven't quite completed San Andreas yet!

It is very, very good. Some of the redraw distances are a bit short, but the load times are actually better.

Play.com are showing at as in stock and people have already had shipping confirmations from there, so I'm not sure if that's true.

NNNOOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!

It requires 2.00 of the firmware, not just pretneding to! I will have to update, and downgrade when I do more coding after the holdays.

Does anybody have a reliable 2.00 -> 1.50 downgrader?

Picked it up at lunchtime. Looks like fun. Already killed a fair few people and blown up my own car with me in it

Don't think you can downgrade the firmware, I thought that once it's done it's done. As for the game, it's good fun, controls are a bit tricky coming from San Andreas on the PS2 and it makes my eyes hurt as there's loads of ghosting when you move around or are driving making everything very blurry.

Some clever bods did come up with a working downgrader that exploits vulnerabilities in version 2.00 of the firmware to load itself and do the downgrading. Sony swiftly released v2.01, which patched these vulnerabilities making downgrading impossible. However, be very wary of downloading the downgrader as there are some hacked malware versions floating about that will turn your PSP into a very expensive paperweight! If you do want to downgrade get it from a known, trused source - ie, a mate who has already used it sucessfully.

just got it today... had a quick blast on the multiplayer in my lunch break... it's quite clunky, but still great fun.. and the all-new experience of running-over/rocket-launchering/chainsawing/drive-by-uzi'ing your mates in the GTA world is very cool..

What it's not however, is a 10/10 game, as the UK exclusive review would have you believe (PLAY mag, also out today).. quite a bit of framing.. and popping, and some really bad design in some places (follow missions, to be precise) see to that...

still great fun though, and if you're a fan of the series, you'll love it.

Enjoying it so far - gave it a few hours over the weekend and some more on the train today. It just makes my hands hurt as the analogue stick is in such an awkward position!

Missions are fun so far if not a little easy to the seasoned GTA'er...
