Just Got a copy of GTR (I know ..... ) Looking to join in the pistonheads races (I used to do the GPL ones last year)

What patches / add ons / tracks etc do I need to download?

The download isn't working - is there another location for it?

You can get the 1.4 patch from in the game itself.. just try and login to the muliplayer section.

If you need the Massers, try http://ph.uncle-dave.co.uk/gtr/

Dave.

pv, do they handle at all similarly? If the real ones handle anything like the maserati-cup cars in GTR they must be a hoot around town

weirdly enough, yeh, hard to explain but...... do you find that although easily corrected when in a slide there is a feeling through the front end of being a bit vague & spongey although responsive, but there is lots of feel for what the back end is doing?

duno about yourself but thats how it feels in the game to me and that feeling through the rear is how I tend to drive the car, its probably alot quicker to keep it tight but I like it loose

less scuttle shake than mine though which is the only gripe I have with the 4200.

I'll know more on the comparison after Monday next week as I'm guna thrash it round an airfield for the first time I'll know how it handles on grass to probably

good race the other night by the way (although I only managed to stay with you for 3 laps )

Just bought GTR for fifteen squids from Game. No idea why I didn't buy it earlier! Only issue is that Maplin didnt have a ps2 to usb converter in stock, so I'll be playing with a keyboard for a while I may join the league though when I do get it, even if its only to be a random backmarker!

Well done Xiphias

You must get a wheel to be really competitive though. If you play on keyboard you'll only be able to beat PVA

Yes I'll have to stick with a ps2 controller for a while, I'm reasonably handy with it at gt4

Either Exint2 or HTS I can't remember, I used to come 3rd or 4th most weeks though I did win the Isle of Man race (how sad am I remembering that!!!)

Did about an hour in the Masser at Brands last night, and these cars are great fun!!!

The handling is quite similar to the real thing at the rear, but it's hard to tell how similar they are at the front ebd because the feel is completely different on a PC steering wheel to a real one!

Whats a competitive time round Brands??

See the Brands Hatch thread... 1:33-1:35 is the range at the moment, although there are a limited number of people owning up to their times atm How are you getting on?

1.36 dead - using stock set up apart from tyre pressures - anyone fiddling with the (limited) set up parameters and having any luck?

as on the BH thread below. I've raced the Masser's once before at BH and in the race did a mid 1m33s.

OK new problem, I can't get online to race either directly through the program or through race more.

I've registered an account at Racemore but can't activate it (been trying for 3 days it says there is a server problem)

Within the game despite setting up auser name it ssys "Name and password not valid"

Any hints tips for getting round this?

Try re-registering another username and password in the game..

Mine didn't accept registration details at first but it's now fine...

Dave.

I remember that race now... It was Ian, me and PV at the start and then PV passed me and closed in Ian really fast. I started to throw it off the track a lot. PV was awesomely fast in that race.
