Black &White 2
Discussion
Populous was also made by the man responsible for the Black and White games - Peter Molyneux, formerly of Bullfrog Software, now running the Lionhead development studios.
I tried the first game and the Creature Isles add-on. I must say that I never really got into B&W. I found the whole city-building/villager/mana micromanagement that was necessary in the previous games very tedious. It's one of the few games in my collection I haven't finished. However, the interface was a work of genius!
I might just give B&W2 a try to see if the sequel has addressed any of the original game's problems. Having read a couple of brief reviews, however, they seem to indicate that now, the gameplay has gone too far the other way, and that much of the freeform gameplay from the original has been lost.

Has anyone bought/played this yet?
I bought the original and loved the interface and the uniqueness of the game, but I soon got bored and irritated after I played for hours and hours straight and couldn't get past one of the levels, and I found my monkey didn't want to do any spells other than "water"
Their website is equally irritating with silly amounts of pretty grpahics before you get to see a menu (maybe I'm just impatient...heh )
I like the idea of the armies and the way to make all your cities interact properly....but is it worth the money?
Thanks....
