Hi all, I've just had a rummage in the loft and checked out my old Mega Drive games as I'd forgotten what ones I had, thought I'd share. Some classics in there!

Nice, you clearly had great taste in games back in the day. I still have my old MD collection too, luckily, it was safe in my parents loft when I moved out in the early 2000’s and was selling everything I could to fund my car obsession!

You have some very rare titles too! Not sure if you know the value but Gunstar Hero’s is worth around £150 and Probotector (Contra) over £200!!!

Very jealous I probably owned a good portion of those games when I was young but I didn’t keep anything, I regret it now

Just had a little look on eBay, can't believe how much some of these are worth now. Well if I'm ever stuck for a couple of quid!

I used to have it set up on a desk in the dining room connected to an old CRT Bang & Olufsen TV, but unfortunately it had to go in the loft as needed the space when I was changed to working from home. Really need to figure a space for it and get it back down, but I was genuinely still playing the Sonic's and NHL 94 and a few other right up until a couple of years ago, they still hold up very well, Earthworm Jim still looks brilliant. Probably because they are all mostly sprites instead of polygons, which have aged enormously.

Oooh. Flashback. Gives me … er … recall of days gone by.

Also, loved Alien 3.

I sold my megadrive on eBay a few years ago.

One of the games I had was Probotector which I notice you've got. Turns out it's super rare and the game alone was worth a few hundred. I think the games released at the very end of the megadrives life are rare because so few were sold.

Did not realise they ported Syndicate....just had a look and it looks very dumbed down.

I had Theme Park on mine. Very dumbed down compared to the PC but played it for hours on end!

I’ve just spotted Road Rash. I’m sure the top bike was the $25k Diablo?

Road rash was great, sonic and Aladdin were good too

I absolutely loved streets of rage and golden axe, I was that young that if I got stuck at a part I had to shout my mum in to beat it for me hehe

Some good memories in there.

Games meant something back then, we are now spoilt.

Well I've finally got the old Bang & Olufsen MX4000 CRT TV out of the loft and hooked up the Mega Drive. Been playing Sonic with my daughter this afternoon and she was loving it. The games still hold up so well! We then played Earthworm Jim followed by Zombies, and then finished off with a game of NHL '94 - such a fun game smile

I was so delighted that she was enjoying playing games that are 30 odd years old just as much as the Nintendo Switch and PS5.

I've also finally got myself a copy of Ristar, which keeps going up in value, but I got some Christmas £££ and thought why not and picked up a very decent copy.

Its amazing how much Mega Drive games go for these days - they used to be giveaway price but the number that are 50-100 quid is shocking!

If you dont want to have to drag a CRT TV out each time, the Analogue Mega SG is a lovely bit of kit to play original carts on modern TVs.
