I have a xbox1 and gamepass which I've had for years. decided to try Diablo IV, downloaded about 2 weeks ago onto Xbox then it asked me to setup a Blizzard account, which I did as I've never had one. Played the game about 3 or 4 times trying to work out what's what and only ever played on that Xbox. Thought no more of it. I then received an email 5 days ago saying my accounts closed.

Action(s) Taken: Account Closure

The Battle.net account has violated the Blizzard End User License Agreement. As a result, this Battle.net Account and all associated game accounts have been permanently closed. As the owner of this account, you are responsible for all actions associated with it. We will only overturn penalties if there is evidence of a compromised account. Read our Account Hacked article for details: https://battle.net/support/article/9852"

Followed the link to try to find out what is wrong enter user/pass and that's it I can't go any further just says banned and code BLZBNTTAS00000006. Which says hacked but I cant appeal by logging in as logging in says banned. So I cannot appeal or change anything. In of itself I'm not to bothered as I'm not really a gamer but for those that are it must be devastating especially if you've put many hours/years into a game. How can an xbox be hacked? All my other games on Xbox are fine.

Yes, Xbox was bought brand new by and I've never played any Blizzard games.

I did ask on reddit Diablo forum all saying it must be something I've done, then got no more replies.

As said, I've done nowt, played a couple of hours got on a horse and slayed some creatures in a crypt and that's it in the campaign got to level 7-10 can't remember.... Ah well, deleted it as it was over 50gig.

Have you ever done anything you shouldn’t have done on any of there other games? Or used a vpn?

VPN is a bit of a grey area as some people use them to get easy lobbies in online games.

No, nothing with other games either. I mainly play red dead redemption 2 but not online either, or ms flight simulator on Xbox.
I do have Nord VPN on a laptop but nothing else. I do run a Raspberry Pie, with 'Pihole', plugged into router to block adverts but millions of others would do so also.

I have zero interest in bots or hacking or any of that stuff, as said all I did was download on Xbox via the Xbox icon, set up a Blizzard account following onscreen prompts where they suggest available player names etc. played a few hours in campaign got on a horse slay some creatures that's it. and email arrived a few days later saying I'm permanently banned.

Raised a ticket which was unbelievably hard to do as when logging in it said banned, somehow I found a way to raise a ticket, (Can't remember how to do it again) and still email from blizzard upheld still banned, I have found out it's just Blizzard Bots or AI who reply to tickets, just a blanket script of banned and not really looked at by a human etc.
Ahh Well, I gave up and deleted it off the Xbox which was over 50gig.

Heard similar tales and it's all a bit tiresome, given riot games talking about actions you take away from the game, I.e. social media etc unrelated to the game could land you a ban, so it's thought policing via back door.

Also not giving a reason why our banned and locked from playing a game you just paid £50 odd quid for us just farcical.
