Numpty question re:GTR

Afternoon all, I'm after a bit of advice regarding GTR. I've been playing the standard game for a while and I have started sniffing around for updates, new tracks and the like. I have downloaded Brands Hatch but I have no clue what an .rar file is what I need to do with it to get it into the game.

a .rar file is an archive file (a bit like zip files).

www.winrar.com is the place to get a decompression program for it.

Once inside the .rar file normally the add-ons come with the directory structure of your gtr folder. You just need to extract/copy the contents of the winrar file to your gtr folder normally and it all installs ok.

If you are downloading add-ons I can highly recommend the maserati cup - it comes with the really cool cars and lots of extra tracks. You can get it from

Aha - it works! Well, it worked about an hour ago actually and then I got distracted by the Brands GP circuit
