When is new Xbox due?
Discussion
As per the title, when is the Xbox due to get a refresh?
I'm currently still running a Xbox One S which is on its last legs, mate has given me his One X for free I just need to go get it.
But like most people, I will be getting GTA6 at the end of next year, is there a refresh due before GTA6? or am I safe to pick up a current Xbox series X when there is sales on?

They just launched some new variations on the current gen this month (Digital Series X, larger internal storage, different colours etc) so now (or closer to Xmas) would be a good time to get one. The next gen isn't expected until the end of 2028 so you've got quite a bit of time with it still to come.

I'll just pick a series X up in the sales then, just didnt want to buy one lets say March 2025 and then they announce an upgraded on in September just before GTA6 drops. the-norseman said:

I expect this sickly, underperforming console generation will wear on for a few years yet, sadly.
It's not the consoles, its the studios. Remeber when there were a multitude of 3rd party developers all trying to get the most form the hardware? You just don't have that anymore. There's a reason the Rockstar and Rocksteady games still look amazing a whole generation later.Sadly I don't see this changing much.
