Anyone know what the best driving game is. I just got hold of a logitech momo and I want to test it on something.

Experience to date.

Toca 2 Shame about the graphics, but ok sim.

Formula one GP. Undrivable rubbish, specially the later versions.

Need for speed. more unrealistic than kate moss asking me out.

Colin Mcrae. Very good and challenging. Top game

Flatout 2. Most fun so far but losing engine power while turning a corner is a bit strange.

Anything?

I had great fun online with Toca2 - especially the Aussie V8's.

Currently have rfactor and GTR - gave up on rfactor after about 2 days, cars and tracks are very boring.

GTR is much harder, but also much better. Plus there is a thriving PH community of online players you can join.

Add to that GT Legends (when it's released), Richard Burns Rally and Live for Speed then the list is complete.

PS. If you don't like right turns; NASCAR 2003 is the best "going round in circles" sim.

Forgot Richard Burns Rally, what a great game, so difficult, but so rewarding when you get it right.

Or get it and then the GTP Mod (Jaguar XJR9, Nissan
Toyota and Mazda World Sports cars from the 80's-90's.

With all the proper circuits.

Okay I got me a copy of GTR, been playing it but not long enough to learn the courses yet.

Couple of points, steering seems to lose its way on extreemes of lock even at slow speeds. Does everyone have this problem or is it a problem with my setup?

Is everyone using their PH moniker?

And lastly how good do I need to get on the single player game before I won't embarriss myself in a multiplayer?

What wheel do you have and is it a Force Feedbackwheel?

Yep, its a USB logitech momo wheel, force feedback.
In control panel its seems to be behaving perfectly and in other games no problems. I thought it was a setup problem with the game but can't seem to find an adjustment. Pity at the moment as I REALLY need full lock for donnington.

Without trying to quote the obvious but a checklist of things.

MOMO Force is selected in the wheel options page?

Reverse FF is ticked?

Do you have the MOMO force centre steering patch installed? You can get it from the Logitech MOMO support site I think.

Then finally try changing the steering lock in the garage (car setup)

Sorted after downloading the patch, thanks FWD. Good game BTW. Although the Cerb seems curiously underpowered for monza, right up until you try to turn a corner

You won't embarass yourself at all - I think its fair to say there are drivers of all abilities that race.

We seem to race on SUnday and Monday nights mostly so keep an eye out and try to join us then We might race with add on tracks or cars though, but usually details of where to get these are posted in the thread that announces the race time...
