BF2 on new PC

Just got to Say Oh my god. Just got my new pc. 2gig ram. FX57 and 7800GTX compared to my old 1 gig, 5700 and athlon 2.2 CPU and how better are the games. I am amazed how good they have got int he last few years. I think I will sell the xbox and PS2. now I got my new toy of the moment

The Geforce 5700 was rubbish.. probably explains it . Even my 5900 (modded to Ultra) is kinda miserable, only had it a year.

Isn't a 7800GTX well over £300? !

BF2 uses alot of graphic power, just changing your graphics card, you will notice alot of difference.

BF2 is still buggy though, takes ages to load even on my SATA raid set up.. .. ..

for real BF2 performance you need 2 7800GTX in SLi.

the CPU is 700 as well.
I thought last night it looked good. Then found it was only on standerd setting. Feck me now I set it to max on all. everythng turned up max. just amazing.

and I have not yet installed GTR. tonight the wife won't see me again

I laughed out loud when installing UT2004 recently on my new rig. Twin 7800GTXs mean everything fully cranked up.

So I went to the graphics settings page to yank everything up to maximum, and once I did the last setting the UT2004 commentator said "Holy Shit".

What a brill idea! Was bloody funny!

Online VCTF (Vehicle Capture the Flag) in UT2004 is fantastic fun.

Guns, jeeps with scythes, trucks, tanks, planes, hovers !

Nice options of squishing your opponent under your hover from high

Some brilliant user made maps on the servers too.

Agressive Alleys, Battleline and Operation Overload spring to mind.

Also Deathmatch, Double domination and Onslaught as well
