After advice pls.

Currently have a PS4 using a thrustmaster wheel and pedals. Running GTsport and Project Cars.

All I wish to do is drive UK tracks. Nothing else. No leagues, no game as such, just lap the UK tracks as realistically as possible.

I'm thinking that as this setup is a few years old now and as I don't stay on top of this market I'm likely missing out.

I don't want to do a PC based setup.

What would you peeps recommend? Console, and software? Ideally that would still work with the pedals, wheel, seat and 55" TV that I have.

Fwiw I also have the manual shifter but it's not crucial I retain that.

Which UK tracks? What Cars?

GTSport and PCars are not considered particularly realistic.

Asseto Corsa is probably the best if you want to stick to console.
iRacing is the daddy on PC, mostly focused on online racing but has offline AI racing as well or hot laps. It has Silverstone, Brands, Donnington, Knockhill, Oulton and Snetterton. I've heard Thruxton is coming. It's pricey though as a sub model and DLC. You'll often find Max Verstappen, Fernando Alonso and other real-world pro's on there racing (you are required to use your real name).

You obviously need a good PC for that.
Upgraded wheel and pedals, up to you - sky's the limit. What's the budget?

Assetto Corsa Competizione with the British GT pack has Silverstone, Donington, Oulton Park and Snetterton. You're limited to GT3 or GT4 cars though.

It is available on PS4 but I think the PS5 one gets much better reviews due to performance upgrades and it generally just running better.

I missed the no PC bit.
AC on PS5 is the best alternative here.

Thanks, that's given me a steer.

Went off looking a proper Sims. Decided if we move house then sixty grand should do the job. We don't have spare space where we are

Until then, I shall plan for PS5 and AC.
