Escorts vs Elises

I've just tried a few laps round brands indy in both these cars. They seem fairly similar in terms of laptime, but the elise is a bit faster. Perhaps a slightly less twisty circuit would even it up a bit.

anyway, I think it'd be really fun to have a race with a mixed field of escorts and elises... maybe with the faster drivers in the slower escorts and the slower drivers in the faster elises. Or we could even them up by giving the elises a weight penalty.

Can a few other people try them round some other tracks and see how close the times are?

does anyone else thinka mixed escort/elise race would be great fun? The best racing happens with cars that are fast in different areas, like these two :)

I only juts started playing GTR and have noticed their are alot of downloadable cars/tracks.

Have you tried a the new Honda Integra Type-R (DC5) angainst a 111R? They are very similar - the Teg is better on the straights, and not much behind the 111R on the corners, but the Liz is better at getting the power down.

When you download the patch for GTR like the escort patch. I have just copied it to anyold area of my pc. but how do I get it to work on GTR. What do i need to do to play the game with the new cars

sorry to sound dumb. I have only ever downloaded updates which sort themselfs out like BF2 updates

it should be in a rar file, with a directory called "gamedata" in it? I think it is... copy the gamedata directory into your GTR directory... that should work (I hope!).
