Really looking forward to this. HZD remains right up there as one of my favourite games of all time. Unfortunately a switch from console to PC gaming has meant a long wait for this one. It didn't seem to have the same rave reviews as the original, but I'll still be buying it on release day

I have completed it on the PS5. Will now buy and complete on the PC......... Totally worth it, if only to Glide off a mountain (and a top tip, don't do what I do and play Zero Dawn and jump off a cliff to glide..............)Available now, got a steam key for £37.79 from CDKeys (lowest price via Allkeyshop search)

Got a bit of time on it yesterday and so far it's been great. Plays very smoothly on my PC, with no loading times at all, no dropped frames or stuttering. Makes a refreshing change from some of the godawful ports like Jedi: Survivor, but then that was EA so what do you expect. The only thing that might have been a glitch was the very first introductory scene before the gameplay started where I could see subtitles but no one was actually talking. It's possible it was supposed to be like that, but I highly doubt it.
Loving the combat and the multiple ways you can approach it, which was a highlight of the first game too. My favourite part though is before the gameplay begins you're given the option of whether the game gives you indictors as to where to go or whether you'd prefer to work it out for yourself. Personally i prefer 'indicators on' as i don't enjoy searching, but either way you choose it's great to be given the choice and a lot more games should do it IMO.

3.5hrs in still good. Could this be a launch (albeit a port) that has worked?
I'm liking it so far...had to get my muscle memory back for the controls though, after a while playing Starfield, Alan Wake and BG3.Only odd thing I've noticed was near the start when you're ask to use the 'silent strike' skill - but the voiceover says 'spear strike' instead. Don't know if that was just meant to be a shortening of 'silent spear strike' or whether the voice actor/script was wrong.
It was only confusing for the first 5 attempts, as the voice said to hide and do a 'spear strike', but every time I did the task would fail. It was only as I started looking at the text below the subtitles did I see a 'silent strike' control pop up.
When I next start it up I'll have to see if I can do something about the huge side borders on the cinematics/cut-scenes on my superwide screen...as I know the game supports those resolutions, but maybe not the cinematics/cut-scenes?
ETA, a quick DuckDuckGo and I think I've found a 'fix'...

IF it's the same as the first game, there is a setting in the graphics bit where the cutscene bars can be black or they sort of blur a doubled image from the edge of the scene into the bar so it gives impression of it filling screen.Only odd thing I've noticed was near the start when you're ask to use the 'silent strike' skill - but the voiceover says 'spear strike' instead. I used it on my 21:9 ultra wide and found it more pleasing than the bars. Ingame ultrawide was fine though
