Ultrawide screen
Discussion
I don't believe an xbox or PS will support an ultrawide. It will put a regular widescreen ratio picture on it and leave big black bars either side.
I have had an Alienware 3440 x 1440 34" and a 3840 x 1600 38" Alienware AW3821DW. First one was up to 120hz and second one was up to 144hz.
I absolutely loved them. The reason I switched to 4k was because the PS5 I was using in the same room didn't fill up the Ultrawide display. So I have stuck the 38" back in the attic with some wild idea that I will find a use for it one day.
Cheers

cheers, I didn't realise the xbox wouldnt accomodate widescreen. Maybe one day. I'm looking for a large screen, 4k, maybe 30" or so, just to elevate the zbox xperience, which one dod you go for?
ta
it supports wide screen, not ultra wide screenta
4k on a 30" tv is a waste of time IMO
a lot of xbox / ps5 buyers go for 4k TVs with HDMI 2.1 to support 120mhz

I went for a LG 42" oled 4k screen. it has a 120 hz refresh rate so suits my PS5 and my gaming PC. I agree with the comment above that a 30" 4k isn't probably worth the extra cost. ta
Mine was the LG C2 model however it appears they have moved on to C3 model nowadays.
