I think he means GPL, you know the game we've been playing since it was released in 1998.

It's the updated demo that uses all the latest GPLEA cars and updated graphics for the tracks.

No, it aint. do some research before you look like a complete muppet .

Its the new release from simbin (GTR) with a demo of a lotus elan, corvette and Jag E type.

Do a google search on simbin and have a look at their site

downloaded but can't get it to run properly as its graphics engine needs lots of power apparently, would but it on the strength of cars you can drive alone...will just have to upgrade some bits on the PC and hope... hopefully I can drop GTR then.....

If you have a look on the next page of topics at "Your new favourite racing game" first mentioned on 17/8 you'll find quite a few of have been playing it including FourWheelDrift (who as the main organiser of the PistonHeads GTR league probably has no need to Google SimBin)

Did not have time to trawl through the topics and i got nothing on a search, hence the post.

Just got a new wheel so i am "game on" and ready to crash.

I'm loving this game - I've always loved the way older cars could slide around more, and it made for more fun racing to watch - and now partake in.

I can't wait to play the real game!

I'm loving the Corvette - oh what a noise - and beautiful driftable oversteer on tap too!

Yes I really like the way GTL handles, much more progressive than GTR. I think it will be a lot of fun racing online

its nice to see they haven't sorted out the problems with the GTR engine as well

The menu systems reaks of Console to me with it's nice flashy graphics and the like. GTR's menu system isn't that great either, but least it makes sense.

Still, I like the handling, the cars and noises - makes much more sense than GTR to me. Need a better graphics card now though

Especially the way you can actually catch a slide (hold it, light a fag, wellie it some more cos ya fancy looking a bit cooler, catching and holding it again, realising that you need to tighten up the corner, ah done that now, hoof the back out again, just for fun) - GTR was a turn off for me because I just couldn't stand the fact that just as I'd thought I had the hang of it, I'd throw myself backwards off the track...

I can put up with the menu system (particularly the questionable fonts!) if the driving side of it is right, and as far as I can tell it is.

Stuck with keyboard only at the moment having lent my wheel to my brother while my PC was out of action, but you can just tell.

Is there any news on an expected release date yet?
