UK PSP UMD movies?

Has anybody got a UK PSP and tried to play Japan region UMD movies on it yet? Or a Japanese PSP with UK region UMD movies?

Just to confirm they are the same region, so I can get UK movies on UMD (if I can ever be bothered to) for my Japanese PSP.

I got a Jap PSP and bought Bad boys yesterday and it works great. So no probs on the regions.

Yeah they are both region 2 so you can buy from Japan or UK

I'm sure some of the Import/UK PSP owners here will confirm this !

Simply cannot imagine why you'd bother buying UMD movies.

Yeah i dont think i would waste my money on them. Buy dvd and rip to memory stick.

I can see UMD Films dying a slow and painfuol death in the next few years..like the minidisc.

I think if they (Sony) pitched them right, then they may be able to last the distance, but I'm pretty sure they'll just become technology curiosity items.

If they were made writable they would definately last a bit longer and may even extend the psp's audience
