The dangers of CD Keys...

It's only bad if you don't play them, which I do, I can see on steam that the list of uninstalled games is now longer than the list of played ones.
Look at achievements on games ... a lot of games will give an achievement for basically doing the tutorial/first level and they essentially are an indication of how many got played, or played for more than a few mins. It's not unusual for such achievements to be held by <90% of a game's player base.Jasandjules said:
Well, accidents do happen, was merely looking at games and somehow Skyrim, Fallout 3 and 5, Far Cry 5, Days Gone and Starfield have all mysteriously been purchased........
So take this as a warning PC gamers, that website can be dangerous........
Crap... I misinterpreted your post thinking their website had been hacked and someone purchased some keys using your funds! So take this as a warning PC gamers, that website can be dangerous........
For the past few weeks I've been trying to buy Hogworts/Cyberpunk off cd keys but it keeps failing at the payment stage (tried Paypal / Card). Never had an issue with previous games I've bought on there...
I tried to buy cyberpunk ffrom on of the steam keys websites and after it took my money it informed me they were out of stock. So i ended up just buying it from steam for £29.99 vs the £23.50 on whatever site i was using (think it was HRK). Got my refund. I've had no real issues to date with these sites but I read a few people having this same issue so i gave up quicker than usual

Interestingly I had that about 12 times. I then switched off my VPN and it went straight through. For the past few weeks I've been trying to buy Hogworts/Cyberpunk off cd keys but it keeps failing at the payment stage (tried Paypal / Card). I was about to try again but use my phone (mobile data) this time. I gave it one last shot using my PC and it's finally worked this time
I guess I was one of the unlucky few caught by a bug - feels good to buy cheap games again lol

Really? I have hundreds of hours in that game..... And only completed the main story once!!.
DO you like Fallout 4?
Skyrim just didn't grab me. Graphics felt flat, particularly NPCs. I'm not a fan of melee combat in games or anything with endless amounts of pointless character personalization. Also the UI with a mouse is felt really awkward.DO you like Fallout 4?
Will give Fallout 4 a go

I found Skyrim all kinds of awesome. You can use magic, bows or swords.. Then you can make weapons and armour etc and even magic one... So many quests etc. So much variety, you can become a vampire or a werewolf too.....You can add Mods too which I think massively improve graphics etc (although it is a 10 year old game!)Will give Fallout 4 a go
Fallout 4 has a system called VATS to enable you to shoot people without the melee aspect in the main.... It is Bethesda too so similar in many ways but you can build settlements etc..and improve weapons/armour and of course you can Mod this
Competing digital stores and Key resellers are part of what makes PC gaming great and much more affordable (aside from the hardware) than console.
With consoles they sell you the base hardware cheap (often at a subsidy) and then make their money back through the games, which the console manufacturers get a cut off of. This of course means that the games tend to cost more and don't see such big discounts, even in sales.
With PCs, the games are simply cheaper due to more competition and a cut not being taken by the hardware makers. Yes, you tend to pay more for equivalent hardware (at least when the consoles are just introduced) but you can size your PC build according to your budget and upgrade over time if you don't want to splurge at the start. You can also source secondhand parts too, saving more money.

When you consider £10 a month for online services, over 5 years a decent gaming PC is break even and a midrange rig does last 5 years. With consoles they sell you the base hardware cheap (often at a subsidy) and then make their money back through the games, which the console manufacturers get a cut off of. More so when you pay an extra £10 a game. Personally I think £60 is too much for Starfield and will be waiting for it to go on offer, which happens fairly regularly. Console players are paying £70 and likely will do for a while.
Console is more expensive with a cheaper cost of entry. PC is cheaper overall with a higher cost of entry.
I don't mind consoles but I want them to be consoles not wannabe PCs. I'm hoping Nintendo come out with something like the Wii. Simple gaming to be enjoyed with non-gamer friends.

It’s odd. I play open world almost exclusively on ps4 and Skyrim is free on PS+….I installed it but uninstalled it after half an hour. It just didn’t grab me. The graphics certainly were a bit of a shock.Fallout 4 has a system called VATS to enable you to shoot people without the melee aspect in the main.... I have hundreds on hours in Fallout 4, 100% achievements…yet I couldn’t get the hang of VATS and never used it.
