Assetto Corsa…

Hadn't fired this up for ages but decided to give Starfield a break and go racing instead.
I had no idea the mod community was so vast. What was supposed to be a quick blast turned into several hours of messing about with various mods!
It certainly looks nice, and the amount of cars you can have is ridiculous. I always liked the Road Atlanta track, and you can have 40 cars racing on that, so I added various types just to mix things up before trying some night racing at a few other locations. The free content manager makes things quite simple once you are used to it, too.
A few snaps for anyone like me who had forgotten all about this one..

Plus, where else can you enjoy racing like this?
The Citroen van mod is so well done. There are several skins; one of which has a rear light out, dumps smoke out the exhaust constantly, has rust and damage and the creator has even captured the rattling sounds of loose panels etc as it thrashes its way round.

The rain and weather mod is flipping incredible!
I just wish it had the AI efficiency of GTR2 where I could get 100 cars on the Nurburgring for a decent 24hr race, and switchable AI co-driver for when bladder capacity is not a full stint long...
I keep meaning to spend more time with the Targa Florio mod... ere we go again!

Pretty sure you can switch AI on and off using Ctrl C and Ctrl P (there's an option somewhere in Content Manager to enable it - I've no idea how trustworthy the AI assigned is though!)I keep meaning to spend more time with the Targa Florio mod... ere we go again!
As if I hadn't already spent enough of this weekend watching Goodwood Revival, I've then spent the same again recreating the races!

I'm pretty sure modding is only available on pc. It can be bought very cheaply, it's on sale quite regularly.
The bigger problem being that I need a PC capable of running it too!MikeM6 said:
Fair enough, but I'd be starting from scratch so still be a few quid.
At 1080p this would be a good start for less than £500 - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Gtg3t72nd hand parts could be £350.

Unfortunately not, unless there's a option in Content Manager I'm overlooking, I can find the "Toggle AI" setting which just sits at default Ctrl-C but that toggle definitely doesn't work , turns on, never turns off (lots of questions about how to toggle the AI on various forums) and I can't see an extra "turn off AI" keybind.I adore AC, it has been my main game for years now. My recent addiction is the Goodwood Circuit in 50s-60s touring and sports cars. So challenging and so much fun at the same time. My poor old PC with the 8350 is starting to creak now though, think its time for an upgrade so I can get some bigger grids together for more fun races

Effects, mods and content manager I guess has come on a bit since I last played.
This clip is from 2020, thinking back my PC at the time was a Ryzen 5 2600 with a RTX 2060 Super.
Still looks good. I am very late to the modding party on this one! This clip is from 2020, thinking back my PC at the time was a Ryzen 5 2600 with a RTX 2060 Super.
As you are here, I’d like to say thanks actually because I often see your posts with advice on hardware and info on games / mods etc. 👍

Some of the sounds are amazing, too! I spent at least 30 minutes just spanking around in a racing Capri, not caring about the other cars, just because it sounded so awesome!
