Connect your PSP to your PC and if there is no folder structure there, you'll need to create it.

If you're using a PC, search on Google for "engadget psp movie" and you should find the right links.

On the Mac, use ffMpegX.

From a bit of playing around with the vids, it seems like if you're running version 2.0 of the system software, that you will need a supporting THM file with every movie file just allow the PSP to see it, otherwise the PSP just doesnt see it at all.

the THM file seems to not only contain an icon (a preview of the video as it were), but also information directly linking to the movie file, so you cant simply re-name both files to match to get it to run. It doesnt really bother me that much, its more annoying than anything else really.

So it seems like, if you're running 2.0, that you're stuck with the videos you can download from the officially sources releasing them.

Er .. the problem is converting video in to a file, not putting it on the psp. All the programs i've found for converting movies say they won't do it because of copy rights

I'm pretty sure the engadget links have links to ripping software.
