Xbox One S HDD upgrade
Discussion
Has anybody upgraded their HDD in a One S (2017). I think mine is the 500gb version.
The HDD on mine is 87% full, it was fuller but I've deleted a few things, but boot is terrible, takes about 2 minutes to boot fully, stuff like GTA 5 takes about 3-4 minutes to load.
I've read a lot of information that says SSD upgrade will improve it, and a lot of information that says it wont improve it at all. has anybody upgraded and can actually answer their own real life experience?
I've also read about people bypassing the internal HHD and using an external usb SSD but cant find out if you can boot this way from that.
I'll buy a new console once GTA6 is announced and out.

I don't boot from an external drive (on a 1TB One X), but I moved all my games to an external 4TB SSD (SATA, so limited to abput 600MB/s)...and the only things left on the HDD are the OS and some streaming apps.
Can't say I've really noticed a huge improvement in loading/transitions. However, I've not done a side-by-side comparison as it was fast enough...and now I'm playing 99% of the time on a gaming PC.
I usually use iFixit for help when changing stuff on iMacs and Mac Minis, and haven't broken anything yet, so maybe their Xbox HDD replacement will help?

But be warned, there may be more risk in doing it to an Xbox than a Mac (strangely)...
