Just a few weeks to ago till this launches on the 22nd Feb. Anyone got a pre-order in? I went for the one without Horizon as I think I will get a few other games and wait for the price drop on that and pick after individually. Thinking of picking up Resident Evil Village which has an PSVR update and No Mans Sky for day 1?
Hope this is real step up as PSVR was a bit clunky with all the cables but a good introduction to VR console provision.

I have a preorder in and I can’t wait to play Gran Turismo 7.
I remember trying out a pre release version of the oculus rift about 8-9 years ago which was running a flight simulator. The sense of depth perception and sensation of being inside the plane rather than watching on a flat screen was incredible. Everything appeared life sized which was amazing.
Although the graphics and resolution weren’t groundbreaking, the immersion was. Since then I have longed for a VR racing experience and the thought of driving the Nordschleife or Le Mans in VR makes me giddy like a child! (I’m 39!)

Pre-ordered the second the words "full VR support" were elaborated on for GT7.
Have an Oculus Rift S that has seen a good amount of use on Assetto Corsa, the level of immersion is matrix-esque, in so far as you can't be told what it's like, you have to see it for yourself The best I can describe it is you just are in the car. It doesn't "look just like you're in the car", you are in it, and your brain just accepts that immediately.
Can't wait.
Pavlov is another launch title I'm looking forward to, I dabbled a bit on the PC, it's just a first person shooter, but if you can get your head around the motion and not feeling sick, it's immensely satisfying.
I randomly developed a strong fear of heights over the years, VR was a great tool to largely fix that, as you can just force yourself to be exposed to ludicrous heights etc. and get used to it without having to leave your house

Yep, I'm another who ordered the PS VR2 without Horizon, (although it looks like an awesome showcase for the new headset/controllers) and I would like to try it out, having played a bit of the normal Horizon games I really didn't gel with anything about them and its just not something i'd currently want to spend £40-50 on, not when there are so many of the existing library of PS5 games or PSVR1 games I already own and enjoy that are getting updates and I'll be able to jump right back into, as well as several other new titles on day1.
Hopefully more compatibility updates for PSVR1 titles get announced along the way, and whilst i'd love a new Astrobot, I'd also happily play through the first game again in higher fidelity...its just that good!
I've specifically held off playing RE Village until it was available in VR so thats going to be my goto launch title, along with GT7 and possibly something chilled/fun like that Kayaking game.
Hopefully we get another set of PS VR demos like the original had or something like VR worlds again that may also showcase some of the new features. Loads of family a friends loved the underwater Shark cage as a first VR experience.

Great minds mate - it would be madness not for them do some demos that run straight away for the novelty standpoint. The shark dive was awesome! I am going to keep an eye on Horizon for a price drop. Will PSVR1 games work? I hadn't thought of that. I just realised I have some in my library!Hopefully more compatibility updates for PSVR1 titles get announced along the way, and whilst i'd love a new Astrobot, I'd also happily play through the first game again in higher fidelity...its just that good!

Preordered today after dithering over it for ages. Looking forward to GT7 with my Fanatec wheel and playseat. Going to have to get back into GT7 as I’ve been playing F1 with the McLaren 650s wheel I got for Christmas!
Would be interested in FPS recommendations as I assume COD won’t be forthcoming on VR any time soon..

lol i wants GT7 but i do not want to do all of the license crap - any way around that so i can get the best cars and tracks right away!
The licences barely feature, once you get to A I think you don't need any of the others, and getting all bronze on them as a minimum would be easy. It's the Cafe Menu ste that you'll have to deal with and grind through. You can do the circuit experiences (some are hard) to earn good money quickly and the various missions etc. but you won't be getting "the best cars" any time soon, it's a game for grinding, some of the most interesting cars you need an invitation to even buy, which is randomly awarded extremely rarely, and others are in the Legendary Cars Dealership, which is on a not quite random rotation of about 3months or so, so even if you had the money, you wouldn't be able to buy lots of the cars thecrow said:

Pavlov is a launch title. That'll keep you occupied, assuming you've already got your VR legs, otherwise you'll be feeling sick instantaneously until you get used to it. Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
