Ghost of Tsushima
Discussion
Played this in it's entirety twice on PS4 and PS5 - both times on hard, second time including the Iki Island DLC. It's an exceptional game, strong narrative backing up good, solid combat that can actually be challenging. A good open world with some great graphical "chops".
I had just over 100 hours in the first playthrough and around 80 in the second - in pound per hour value that's remarkable (although Horizon Forbidden West may challenge that)

Waiting for it to be cheap so I can play it!!
If you have a PS5 it is in the Extra Tier........ And frankly worth the cost of the subscription aloneLukeBrown66 said:
I do not have PS5 and refuse to pay to play online, hence I will wait to see it cheap, there is no rush
You don't "have" to play online with the PSN Tiers. It just allows you to. It also allows you to install a few good single player Games:Spiderman Miles Morales
Death Stranding (everyone says it is great, I am just confused)
Ghost of Tsushima
God of War
Mortal Kombat 11
2k21 Golf
Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Days Gone
Fallout 4
Red Dead Redemption II
To me you pay £100 for a year but get those games that can cost a lot more than £100 so it is a no brainer....
I get you.
But I refuse to be effectively taxed by a company worth tens of billions to play online, when I don't have to on PC to play most of the exactly the same games. Plus a lot of that stuff is only on loan!
the fact that everybody does it so willingly and easily staggers me to this day.

They probably don't. If they're like me they probably just pay the subscription for the games. I didn't even know it let me play online until I read this. I see where you are coming from but I just don’t get it, it’s £100 outlay for hundreds of games and I don’t have to leave my house it’s a win/win for me! It’s nearly impossible to avoid online/data harvesting/subscriptions in 2022. I don’t see PS as any different in that regard.

Well for me it was the fact I paid £90 for Battlefield 2042 and then £80 or so for Far Cry 6. Yet by paying £100 I get access to so, so many more (and dare I say better) games.....It allows me to play games I would never have bought, games that others have been saying are great etc.
And frankly, if I'd paid the £100 for Ghost alone I think I would not feel too hard done by.
I just pay for the basic level of PSN subscription. It gives me the small selection of free/included games each month that I add to my library and it allows me to use the PSN servers. I think its something like £60 a year.
On the basis I buy all physical games for my consoles and then sometimes trade them in and sell them, I am confident I make back more than £60 a year that would have otherwise been lost if I only bought digital on steam. In hard times I can trade my entire game collection into CEX or sell via Ebay and see a good chunk of money back. Selling steam digital games you own is a whole different kettle of fish. So it doesn't feel as staggerlingly stupid to me as you suggest.
I own a top end PC gaming rig with steam, Xbox One X and PS5. So just play them all as and when but of everything I outlay on gaming or have outlayed on gaming, paying my PSN subscription each year has never bothered me at all.
I proposed a way to play ghosts for probably only a couple of pounds. Buy it second hand on Ebay, play it through and sell it a month later for the same or similar price. Cheap as chips.
