ok so where s the porn in GTA
Discussion
discussed in another thread, although I didn't know it had been banned. What a load of shite! It's already an 18 certificate, and I can't see how some crappy pixelated porn is worse than all the other horrific stuff you can do in the game.
what a pathetic reaction by our antipodean cousins. moronic in the extreme.

So this is in the PC version only?
Im sure I'll find it (havnt looked) but where is the other thread?
Im not sure when, but one day we will look back and laugh. Mass first degree murder, armed robbery, killing sprees, everything you can imagine... is acceptable, but something we all legally do is not? Praps in 100 years things will have changed, who knows
I wonder what impact this will have upon sales overall?
I remember yeeears ago, in C&VG (computer and video games) magazine, they ran an april fools joke saying lara croft could be viewed naked. The following months edition had several letters from folk saying they had sold their other consoles, bought a playstation and tomb raider to view the nudity... course it was a joke and the game wasnt banned.
I have to say though (impartial, i am forever sitting on fences)... 1 week ago my girlfriends 6 year old nephew came round, asked to play San Andreas... I suggested something else, told him he was too young anyway, to which he replied he plays it at home all the time, his mother doesnt care. Another threads discussion perhaps.

This is due to a lack of general education on the part of the industry and government that there are actually age ratings on games, and a lack common sense by the parents.
As you say, discussion for another thread, but my parents would never have let me see an 18 film before I was 18 (my mates folks did though) and I wouldn't let my kids either.

So you can have sex at the age of 16 but can't play a game with a sex scene at the age of 18? What stupidity.
Cue massive reaction when in real life, a mere nipple slip occurs. It was the subject of years of banter and joking amongst her friends, when my sister came skidoodling off a water slide to find one of her jabberclackers had jumped right out of its cup. "Ohh, its a big deal!!" was the delighted reaction of all male onlookers
If men evolved a 'casual boob' mode, taboos would fall away, boobs would be more readily accessible, possibly even jumping out of our cerial boxes in the mornings helping us all make a better start to the day!
ithankyou

Lol, too true.
I agree with the angle here. We can go have sex with prostitues in the game, then kill them, while driving un-insured in stolen cars, and without a seatbelt no doubt, while toting multiple weapons, and selling/dealing in drugs.
BUT, if we have consenting sex in the game, then it's somehow worse?
Lol, infact this part of the game is the most legal activity going on!
The game is an 18, so fair enough I say. OK, plenty of younger kids play it, but the violence is more worrying for them than harmless sex scenes, and ontop of ALL that, parents should be responsible for the content their children see.
