Bumping this back up to the first page since it's nearly here. I'm a massive souls fan and really looking forward to this. I just hope that it's going to run well on PC. With it being the first game I've pre-ordered since Cyberpunk 2077 I'm not sure if that's a good omen, From don't necessarily have form for this kind of thing.

I'm not sure looks a bit too japanese for me. Much rather Witcher, elder scrolls, dragon age etc to final fantasy/big sword giant monster style things

Have u played other Souls / From Software games?

I'm continuing to ignore any media on Eldenring and have my pre-order in. Hoping to enjoy it all as an unspoiled surprise.

Yeah if you’ve not played any Souls games it’s worth picking up Dark Souls 3, must be able to find it these days for around £10 and just giving it a go. Honestly a masterpiece.

Seems I played a bit of dark souls on the 360 many many years ago looking at my achievements but I don't remember only got 75 so obviously didn't play it too long

Actually last achievement was 03/05/2013 so yeah

Very polarising games, you either seem to be in the "too hard, got bored" or "OMG it's a masterpiece" camp. I'm definitely in the former - the fact that it took me two hours to win the tutorial fight in DS3 was a bit of a sign that it wasn't really for me

I bought the day one physical release for PS5. I collect games and prefer to have something to trade in or sell at a later date.

Yeah the lack of ultrawide sucks. I haven’t suffered from the stuttering though, but I’ve disabled control flow guard for the exe and I’m not running motion blur or DoF.

I started a Vagabond, currently at level 28. Killed the first main story boss earlier, game seems harder to me than DS3. Way more punishing on your roll timings.
