How hard is that game!!, like a lot of you guys i have been playing arcade and pc games all my life(35 now) and never have i come across a racing game so tough.

Started using a joypad soon gave up, got myself a driving force pro at the weekend and a massive improvement but going from semi-pro or experienced to the next level is going to take some practice.

What are the on-line games like?, and what driving aids are you allowed?

Anyone got any tips....please

Its best to run in simulation I think, with driver aids on as needed. Perhaps start with TC, ABS and stability help all on, then remove them one by one.

We run simulation in our races (which do normally happen quite reliably... not so the past two weeks ), but we allow akk aids except indestructable cars, so that is is friendly for everyone. We have a really good spread of abilities so you should find someone to race with,

as for tips - be smooth, concentrate on your corner exit speed and not entry speed, make sure you are on the right line, leave braking as late as possible until last in terms of what to optimise.

Have a read of that - its for GPL but much of it applies to GTR, and most important of all remember the Driving Force Pro is expensive have something soft nearby to take your frustrations out on

Very hard! Only advice I would have is persevere! I've had the game about 3 weeks and am finding now that I can consistently lap without crashing/spinning - that's a huge improvement from when I started!

Full throttle too early or too late on the brakes are my two biggest errors - once you smooth out your driving you will see a huge improvement, and then faster times will follow that.
